Both Cork and Bamboo are remarkable natural resources that modern technology has been unable to imitate. The look and feel of these flooring types are unique, differing from any other flooring options in the marketplace. If you are searching for a distinct aesthetic, cork and bamboo floors will differentiate your home from all the rest.
CORK FLOORING
Because Cork is composed of millions of air-filled cells, Cork flooring absorbs sound, impact and heat. In addition to being a wonderful sound and thermal insulator, Cork flooring is also impeccably resilient.
Perhaps best of all, Cork is a completely renewable resource harvested as bark from living Cork trees, never harmed by the harvest. In fact, Cork trees store carbon in order to regenerate their bark, and a harvested Cork tree absorbs up to five times more than one that isn’t. Our Cork flooring is composed of 100% post-industrial recycled content from wine-stopper production.
BAMBOO FLOORING
Bamboo is an environmentally responsible choice with an appealing aesthetic. It is silky smooth with a finer grain than traditional hardwood while being 2.5 times as dimensionally stable as solid maple hardwood floor and 33% harder and more dent-resistant than white oak.
Similar to cork flooring, bamboo flooring is an environmentally responsible choice. Bamboo is a truly sustainable harvested grass that regenerates at least eight times faster than hardwood. Not only does bamboo mature more rapidly, but harvesting does not kill the plant. Installing bamboo floors even adds valuable LEED credits towards making your construction project green.
